It is easy to confuse ceramic coating and clear bra paint protection. Both are applied to the vehicle’s exterior panels and both offer a layer of protection. However, it’s important to note that they are not the same product. Clear Paint Protection Film is a robust urethane layer that shields a against rock chips, road debris, and scratches.
Ceramic coating is not engineered to provide this level of defense. That being said, ceramic coatings does safeguard a vehicle’s exterior from contaminants like bug residue and bird droppings, making it easier to clear the surface.
While it is possible to buy pre-cut kits of XPEL PPF film, installation can be extremely difficult (and frequently unsuccessful) for those without previous experience or training. Furthermore, the warranty on XPEL film only applies to company products that are professionally installed.
